Built in 1890, this rambling old farmhouse is not only quirky and characterful, it also has much to offer in terms of space and style!
The main chalet occupies the ground floor, first floor, and second floor in the eaves. The dining room is the real heart of this home: with exposed stone walls, a hearty fireplace, and one of the biggest dining tables you will ever see, it is easy to imagine lingering over another glass of wine with friends and family. A living room with 3 comfortable sofas means there’s plenty of space to retire to after the tartiflette has been polished off, and the cosy snug is ideal for the kids to settle in and watch cartoons, neither seen nor heard!
Upstairs, there are 5 double bedrooms and 5 bathrooms (4 ensuite) all decorated in cool neutral tones, providing restful and cosy sleeping accommodation. Upstairs again in the eaves are three further bedrooms and two bathrooms. These top floor bedrooms are simply delightful, with bunk beds built in around the beams, it is a children’s paradise!
Outside, there is a super south-facing deck, perfect for soaking up the last rays of sun as you enjoy an apéritif whilst admiring the stunning views. If you need to soak away those aches and pains, a dip in the hot tub in the garden will be just the thing! On a more practical note, there are garages for 3 cars, plus external parking for a further 3 cars. A boot room by the entrance to the chalet keeps sporting equipment out of the main chalet, but securely stored away.
Just 20m from the nearest ski bus stop, the regular service will ensure you can be on the first lifts and making fresh tracks. The centre of Morzine is no more than a 15 minute stroll away, so dining out in the evening or shopping for souvenirs is simply effortless. In summer, the open-air Olympic swimming pool is just 10 mins walk away.
Operated as a catered chalet since 1993, the lower ground floor is home to two individual apartments, which offer ideal accommodation for owner-operators and staff. Alternatively, if the main chalet is to be used as a family holiday home, the two separate apartments could provide a handy income if rented out either on a weekly basis or on a long term let.
