What is Axiski?
Axiski is the ultimate toy for outdoor adventure lovers of all ages. Taking inspiration from the humble sledge, founder Darren and his team have created the world’s first truly multi-terrain, multi-position ski-board that the whole family can enjoy. From sand to snow, Axiski is perfect whatever the weather.
How did Axiski come about?
In 2010, the UK had its snowiest winter for years with lots of the white stuff falling around the country! Darren wanted to get outside with his family and enjoy it but couldn’t buy a sledge – they were sold out! So what did he do? He made his own (better!) version instead. Part sledge, part snowboard (even part surfboard if you fancy taking a dip with it), Darren and the team at Axiski spent 2 years perfecting the design and material before launching in 2013. They can now be found in 17 countries around the world in 5 colours.
Axiski Safety Tips
- Helmets and padding go a long way to keeping you safe.
- Wear the right shoes – high heels are not recommended!
- Axiski is for gentle slopes and not mountain peaks
- Make sure your path is clear of obstacles, especially trees.
- Wear suncream winter and summer.
