Formed in 1903, the Ski Club of Great Britain has an impressive history and involvement in snowsports culture in the UK. It was originally formed to promote professional alpine ski racing but is now an inclusive Club for all snowsports enthusiasts.

Ski Club Leader Service

The Ski Club Leader Service has been a hugely valued part of the Ski Club for many years. Hundreds of highly trained leaders show you the best ski routes on and off piste across 18 ski resorts worldwide, including Verbier in Switzerland, Cervinia in Italy, Obergurgl in Austria, Whistler in Canada and Jackson Hole in the USA. Whether you are an improving skier or want to explore challenging new terrain, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The service is free to all Ski Club Members in all the ski resorts where leaders are located.

The Ski Club leaders also host social hours in-resort at the end of each leader session, which is a great chance to meet other like-minded mountain connoisseurs over a drink or two.

Instructor Led Guiding

The Ski Club of Great Britain has partnered with 11 ski schools in the French Alps plus St Anton in Austria, for the Instructor Led Guiding Service. This gives you the chance to enhance your snow skills while exploring the mountains with a qualified instructor for a fraction of the normal price.

Members can book a full day guiding in advance online from £35 or £20 for a half day. Prices that you can’t find anywhere else in the ski industry!

Become a Ski Club Leader

Becoming a Ski Club Leader is an exciting and rewarding way to get more time on the slopes over the winter season. It’s a chance to spread your knowledge of snowsports to people around the world and forge friendships with Ski Club Members.

Ski Leader slots are typically two or three weeks long with accommodation, food and lift passes covered by the Ski Club. Travel is subsidised based on the length of time spent as a leader in a ski resort in the European Alps or North America.

To become a Ski Club Leader, there’s an application process and a two-week Ski Club leader course that focuses on leadership, ski and mountain safety skills.

Freshtracks

Choose from a wide selection of Freshtracks holidays around the globe. Tailor your ski holiday to your ability and needs; whether you're hunting powder or just want a relaxing week on the pistes with a guide who skis at your pace, there’s a holiday suitable for everyone. All Freshtracks holidays include

 instruction or guiding so you know you will improve your technique.

Mountain Tracks

If you're looking for a unique trek, whether it's an off-piste adventure or a climbing experience, Mountain Tracks has a vast range of action holidays to choose from. Detailed itineraries in a variety of locations are available to suit your ideal adventure. There are also a number of courses on offer run by dedicated coaches who will improve your ski skills, allowing you to take on more challenging ski terrain.

Snow Reporting

The Ski Club's highly detailed snow reports and weather forecasts are available at your fingertips. Supplied by Snow-Forecast, the accurate snow and weather data allows Ski Club Leaders and staff to tailor the information into personalised reports. Members can also use the Comparison and Historical Snow Report tools to make an informed decision about the best places in the world to ski. 

Events

The Ski Club Events Calendar is full of events in the UK and abroad. Whether it is film screenings or on-snow activities, the Ski Club hosts a wide variety of events to enjoy. One of the highlights is the legendary March Hare Treasure Hunt where teams compete to find clues placed around the Swiss ski resort of Wengen to win great prizes.
