The Notaires of France date from 2016 conclude that it's a mixed market for the Haute Savoie and the Savoie, the main alpine property regions in the French Alps.

The charming ski village of Megeve, only 1 hour from Geneva airport, boasts the highest property price increases, at 16.4%. Actual prices vary widely within the valley, with some of the most expensive ski chalets in the Alps near to the Rochebrune ski area.

The Portes du Soleil ski resort of Chatel is close behind with an incredible 13.4% rise in per m2 prices, largely thanks to a number of new ski apartment developments.

While there are no figures for Courchevel, where prices are normally high, the Espace Killy ski resort of Val d'Isere commands the highest average per m2 price for ski property purchase at €7,970 per m2.
